Report – Inter Milan Making Progress In Pursuit Of Atalanta Owned Wingback Amid Foreign Competition
Inter Milan have reportedly stepped up their pursuit of Atalanta loanee Marco Palestra ahead of the January transfer window.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the San Siro giants are making progress in their attempts to sign the 20-year-old.
There’s a vacancy on the right wing after Denzel Dumfries underwent ankle surgery last week.
Indeed, the Dutchman is expected to stay in the pits until March, leaving Cristian Chivu strapped for reliable options on the flank.
Therefore, the Serie A leaders are eager to sign a suitable replacement in January.

Currently on loan at Cagliari, Marco Palestra has emerged as Inter’s top candidate to replace Dumfries.
However, the Italian prodigy won’t come cheap.
Palestra’s parent club, Atalanta, will not let him leave for less than €35 million, yet Inter are unwilling to give up.
Furthermore, La Dea would have to cut Palestra’s loan short to accommodate his transfer elsewhere.
Cagliari might reluctantly agree to letting their standout performer go if they get someone in return.
