Inter Milan Have 3 Players In Doubt For Serie A Trip To Como

Inter Milan are assessing several selection doubts ahead of their Serie A trip to Como, with Christian Chivu set to make at least one change on the flanks – Andy Diouf in place of the injured Denzel Dumfries.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Andy Diouf is currently favourite to start at right wing-back.

However, the battle with Carlos Augusto remains open going into matchday.

The midfield picture is also tight.

Piotr Zielinski is in contention for a starting role.

Meanwhile, he faces competition from Petar Sucic and the returning Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

At the back, Francesco Acerbi is expected to get the nod over Yann Bisseck.

Indeed, as Inter seek stability after the win away at Pisa.

Chivu is likely to restore the backbone of his first-choice XI.

Yann Sommer, Manuel Akanji, Alessandro Bastoni, Nicolò Barella, Hakan Calhanoglu, Federico Dimarco and Lautaro Martinez should all return from the start.

That means the Thu-La strike partnership is expected to be reunited, even if youngsters Pio Esposito and Ange-Yoan Bonny continue to push for minutes from the bench.

Inter will again be without four players. Denzel Dumfries remains sidelined as he works his way back from an ankle injury, while Matteo Darmian, Tomas Palacios and goalkeeper Filippo Di Gennaro are also still unavailable.
