The Little League World Series gives some of the best little leaguers from all over the world a chance to shine on the sport’s greatest stages.
One of the early breakout stars in this year’s tournament is Lin Chin-Tse, who went viral early in the Little League World Series for his highlight-worthy clips. Chinese Taipei has already won two games in the tournament by a combined 7-0, and Chin-Tse has been a big reason why.
Due to pitch counts in the Little League World Series, Chin-Tse can only throw a certain number of pitches in a certain number of games. However, the longer Chinese Taipei remains in the tournament, the more Chin-Tse can show off his skills in front of the world.

Who is Lin Chin-Tse?
Lin Chin-Tse is a 12-year-old little leaguer who is currently playing for Chinese Taipei in the Little League World Series. Chin-Tse plays both pitcher and outfield, but he went viral earlier in the tournament for his impressive fastball velocity as a pitcher in a game.

Because little league mounds are closer to the plate than MLB mounds, the perception of an 82 MPH pitch is much faster compared to that of an MLB 82 MPH pitch. The mounds at the Little League World Series are 46 feet from the plate, while major league mounds are 60 feet, six inches away.

Lin Chin-Tse is 12 years old, which is the oldest a player in the Little League World Series can be.
While eligible little leaguers are allowed to play as young as 10 years old, players can’t play in the tournament if they turn 13 before August 31st of that year.
