Anthony Edwards’ Interaction With NFL Legend After Timberwolves Game is Turning Heads
The Minnesota Timberwolves evened their Western Conference semifinal series against the Golden State Warriors at one game apiece with a 117-93 victory on Thursday.
They got an assist in the form of the hamstring strain Stephen Curry suffered in Game 1 that will keep him out through at least Game 4. They were able to hold Golden State to 44.7% field-goal shooting and 28.1% from 3-point range while forcing 20 turnovers.
Anthony Edwards shook off an ankle injury in the first half to score 20 points and add nine rebounds, five assists and three steals in 34 minutes. Afterward, he shared a moment with legendary former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin.

Edwards played very poorly in Game 1 when Minnesota lost by a final score of 99-88. In that contest, he went 9-of-22 and was 0-of-8 in the first half, and fans on social media attacked him for his inability to hit shots.
In Game 2, he made just two of his seven shot attempts in the first half, but he scored 13 points afterward as Minnesota held off an attempted rally by the Warriors and pulled away.
The series will continue on Saturday at Chase Center in San Francisco. The Warriors will surely be hoping that some home cooking will allow them to at least play the Timberwolves to a standstill until Curry is able to return. But Edwards will look to give his team control of the series.
