LeBron James Had No Words for Gilbert Arenas' Major Personal News About Son

By David Web

Former NBA star Gilbert Arenas’ son, Alijah Arenas, is out of the hospital and back home after getting into a car accident and being put into a medically induced coma. Sure enough, the update had LeBron James and the rest of the NBA celebrating.

Alijah Arenas got into a terrifying car crash on April 24 when the Tesla Cybertruck he was driving hit a tree in the San Fernando Valley.

The USC commit was brought to a nearby hospital after that and had to be put into a coma due to inhalation of smoke, according to ESPN. Fortunately, it didn’t take long for him to be taken out of the coma.

On Wednesday, the Arenas family announced that he has been released from the hospital as he continues his recovery. Gilbert Arenas, for his part, shared a video of Alijah Arenas at home, where he was treated with a surprise in his bedroom.

“I want to thank Jose, Bryant, and Robert for saving @alijah0arenas — he can’t wait to meet you guys. Truly grateful to everyone for the prayers, love, and support during his healing. Much love,” Gilbert Arenas wrote in the caption of his post before saying, “WELCOME HOME” to his kid.

After seeing Gilbert Arenas’ post, LeBron James took to his Instagram Stories to react to the update about Alijah Arenas.

The Los Angeles Lakers star didn’t write any words, but he used several raising hands emojis to share how happy he is.

It remains to be seen how much time Alijah Arenas needs before he can fully recover from the scary accident. He is currently finishing his junior year at Chatsworth High School in Los Angeles.

The 18-year-old committed to the Trojans last January.
