By David Web

OXFORD — Ole Miss baseball needs to win one more elimination game.

The No. 1 Rebels beat No. 4 Murray State (40-14) on June 1 to force a winner-take-all final game of the Oxford Regional. Ole Miss won 19-8. The winner will advance to a super regional against Duke (40-19).

The rematch will be at 5 p.m. (ESPN+) at Swayze Field. Neither team’s coach announced who the starting pitchers would be when asked.

The Rebels have played the Racers three times already, twice in the postseason. Ole Miss beat Murray State 8-7 in extra innings in a regular season game on March 5.

The Racers won the first game of the Oxford Regional 9-6 on May 30. Ole Miss bounced back to force a final meeting by scoring 19 runs on 19 hits on June 1. It was the second-most runs the Rebels have scored this season. Ole Miss set a program record with 29 runs against Alcorn State on April 9.
